The Ancient Tradition of Beer Spas in Czechia

Dating back centuries, beer has been cherished not only as a beverage but also for its therapeutic benefits. Beer spas have been a part of Eastern European culture since 921, especially in the Czech Republic.

Drawing from this rich history, beer spas have emerged as popular wellness destinations, blending relaxation with Czech brewing heritage.

Originating from the Middle Ages, beer baths were initially favored by brewers for their purported health benefits. Rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, beer was believed to nourish the skin and promote overall well-being. Over time, this practice evolved into dedicated beer spa rituals, where guests can immerse themselves in warm baths infused with hops, malt, and yeast extracts.

Today, beer spas continue to captivate locals and tourists alike with their unique blend of tradition and indulgence. As people seek alternative wellness experiences, the appeal of beer spas has only grown. Beyond the luxurious baths, visitors are drawn to the cultural significance of Czech beer, celebrated as a cornerstone of national identity.

Whether you're a beer enthusiast or simply seeking a rejuvenating escape, a visit to a Czech beer spa promises a journey through time, where ancient traditions meet modern relaxation.

Private Beer and Wine Spa Experience

Upon arrival at the spa, you will be welcomed by the staff and led to your private room equipped with a shower and haystack bed.

The tubs are made of royal oak or larch, with a capacity of 1,000 liters of water, heated up to 37-38 °C. You'll immerse yourself in a tub filled with warm beer or wine (you can choose if you want the hot tub to be filled with beer or wine), often mixed with other natural ingredients like hops, herbs, or essential oils.

Bathe in one of these hot tubs, relax and enjoy a bottle of wine or unlimited beer (you can tap your own beer) depending on the option you choose.

After the bath, you can rest on a haystack bed and continue enjoying your glass of beer or wine.

A Beer and Wine Spa is an ideal place for couples looking for an intimate and romantic experience. But also for anyone looking for a day spa experience where you can unwind and relax.
